One of the two crew members of the (Marlo Brandon) Bounty replica, which was tragically lost in the current hurricane, has been rescued after nine hours in the water.
Her name, believe it or not, is Claudene Christian
Maybe that is what inspired her to sign onto the crewlist of the doomed ship in May.
Sadly, the captain is still missing.
Update: Claudene was the many-times great-granddaughter of Fletcher Christian. Sadly, she was pronounced dead after taken to hospital.
Apparently, she was knocked off the ship as life-rafts were being lowered. Captain Robin Walbridge dived in after her, in an illfated act of heroism.
