The silliest statement read today
Older adults who drink coffee are less likely to die from
heart disease
respiratory disease
stroke
injuries
diabetes
accidents
This is according to a study called "Association of Coffee Drinking with Total and Cause-Specific Mortality" published a couple of months ago in The New England Journal of Medicine.
That's a strangely comprehensive list: it is beyond me to guess how coffee can prevent accidents and injuries. Because you are more alert, perhaps?
The major question, though, is what, pray, are older adults going to expire from?
It's an incontrovertible fact that we all have 100% chance of dying. But billions are spent on research trying to deny that reality.
