CIVILIZATION & THE SEA

I have been delighted to note that Lincoln Paine's THE SEA & CIVILIZATION, a monumental history of the sea and its role in the development of the modern world is doing remarkably well.

Currently, it is up there at number one in the Amazon listing of books about transportation, and also the history of Oceania.

The UK rights have been sold to Atlantic Books, and it will be available in Britain early next month.

Maritime enthusiasts in the USA have ongoing opportunities to meet the author and hear him speak.

Lincoln Paine tells me, "Next week I'm off for another four talks at Annapolis, Old Dominion University, The Mariners' Museum, and Washington, with a radio interview thrown in so I don't get lazy. It's like this, week on and week off through the end of February, then sporadically from March to May."
