Heavens above!
It's a challenge
IN typical homo sapiens style, the human race has turned the space that surrounds our planet into a tip.
Tens of thousands of bits of space junk orbit high above our heads, posing a hazard for astronauts.
Those tidy people, the Swiss, however, have devised a gadget that will clean this untidy mess up.
It's a miniature satellite, the size of a cuckoo clock, they say, and relatively cheap -- it will cost only about ten million greenbacks to launch and set to work vacuuming up all those bits.
It might have been tempting to stage a contest for a fun name for this fun gadget. As it is, they called it CleanSpace One. Any better ideas?
