That sadistic marketing decision ...The NYT Sunday Book Review ran a feature on book covers that were dropped on the cutting room floor.
Caroline Stanley of Flavorwire books blog, condensed the story, featuring a selection of the dropped book jacket designs, and matching them up with the final versions.
One of the neatest (in my humble opinion) rejected jackets is pictured to the right.
