Next Thursday -- 17 March (think St. Patrick), Captain Cook authority, John Robson, will be talking about the great cartographer, and I will be talking about the Polynesian navigator who sailed with Cook on the Endeavour, TUPAIA.
It is part of the great New Zealand Book Month programme.
Looking forward to seeing you all!

Hope it's a great day, Joan - wish I could be there!
By the way, I'm thoroughly enjoying reading Tupaia. I let my husband read it first, as Major Pettigrew was claiming my attention, and he (my husband, not the Major) very much enjoyed it, too. He kept reading specially interesting bits out to me, but it hasn't spoiled the story for me. :-)
Wish you could be there, too. Thank you, Shayne -- I really enjoy your comments.
